Our client’s selected this traditional Ranch Style home for it’s potential of becoming their perfect home away from home. While the view, location, and floor plan were almost ideal, the entire home was in desperate need of updating.
Creating this luxurious master bath required completely redefining the existing space and adding dynamic architectural features. This couple wanted a calming, spa-like retreat,
We started with art and rugs reflective of the clients’ personality, selecting the rest of the furnishings and materials to enhance those choices. Then we tackled the existing fireplace wall, blending the existing stone flooring into a dynamic, asymmetrical focal point that showcases sculpture and minimizes the impact of the television.
The biggest challenge was the long, narrow family room/kitchen area. Looking at the banquette today, it’s hard to imagine it wasn’t always there.

The elongated shape of the house made the project especially challenging. The clients entertain extensively and their gatherings, varying widely in size, required unconventional, multipurpose furnishings to meet their needs.
Talk about common! This expansive executive home had every trite and predictable architectural element you’d expect in a tract home: unimaginative cabinetry, confining dark shutters, repetitive drywall niches, narrow corridors, multiple distracting soffits, dreary lighting, and faux stone fireplaces.
Blessed with good bones, this suburban home just needed a designer’s touch to transform it from ordinary to sophisticated. By choosing luxurious window treatments, surprising art, visually exciting textures and colors, and an eclectic selection of furniture styles, the client’s were able to inject a city vibe into a suburban setting.
